OAA Council sets policy direction for the Association, making critical decisions regarding the future of the profession that directly affect members and their practices. Council’s work is guided by the new Strategic Plan, which directs the OAA’s focus for the next five years. Six Council seats are up for election or re-election this fall, including a non-voting seat for an Intern Architect and five seats for Architects.
Last month, a Regulatory Notice was sent to all those with OAA status, sharing information about the roles of Councillors, ideal candidates for the coming election, and how you can participate. The elections process occurs using a dedicated online system, with an email sent to eligible voters on October 3. The nomination period is then open until October 24. Voting takes place in November, with new terms beginning on January 1, 2023. For more information, visit the OAA Website.
